Front End Grip - could anyone advise me of setup tips for less understeer in the wet?

At a very wet Snetterton last week my son was asking me to give him more confidence to be able turn in / less understeer.

I think it's inevitable in a light car in the wet running a single compound tyre, but are there any tips beyond removing front ARB and detaching rear link on one side that would help?

In a kart we would change hubs to give a wider front track, reduce Castor, stiffen the rear torsion bars and remove the front torsion bar. If very wet we would also lower front ride height and toe out 4mm per side. We did have a full wet compound tyre though that would overheat and be destroyed in minutes on a drying track.

Short of telling him to drive ultra smoothly I wondered if stiffening the rear would help, and i've not touched castor as yet.
