Coronavirus Update – Silverstone National and Donington Park meetings cancelled

The decision of Motorsport UK to suspend motorsport activity in the UK, until the end of April, has resulted in the cancellation of our first two Championship rounds, at Silverstone National and Donington Park.

We can understand this is a great disappointment to our members, their families and friends and the race support teams.

Concerning entries and payments for Silverstone and Donington, BARC has said the following to us:-

β€œAll entries and payments received to date will be automatically carried over into future events. We would appreciate your understanding at this busy time. We will be in touch with all of your competitors from early next week onwards to transfer any entries to further meetings. Anyone not wanting a transfer can have a full refund, but we would prefer to try and transfer entries if possible.”

At present, please do not contact BARC directly, as stated above, BARC will be in contact with you – they have got a lot to work through, with a total of 13 meetings organised for March and April.

For CGRC Flex members, the Club will issue a full refund of entry fees and, where applicable, the BARC weekend membership fee paid through the CGRC online system. Peter Marsh, our treasurer, will be in contact shortly with those concerned.

Given current indications, our racing is unlikely to resume for some time. We will be liaising closely with BARC and the organisers of our Anglesey and Zandvoort meetings and will publish further information when it comes to hand.

In the meantime, please follow all official guidance and do all you can to keep yourself and your families safe and well.
